Oracle Linux: Delay Noticed in the Password Prompt When Logging on to Server via SSH. (Doc ID 2937888.1)

Symptoms

While logging in to the server via ssh, after typing the username, password prompt take some time to appear (about two minutes in this case, until the password appears and is written on to the system).

 

Below debug message was noticed while connecting to the server via ssh where the server took time to process.

 

Changes

GSSAPI settings in etc/ssh/sshd_config was noticed to be enabled.
