Symptoms

Files that are being opened and created under large number of directory blocks of /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/<oracledb>/<ORADB1>/trace directory will be blocked. The following stack trace will be shown in /var/log/messages. The task is blocked because it is unable to acquire the directory lock which is implemented in read-write semaphore in Linux kernel.There could be many tasks blocked in such a way
