Oracle Linux: Slow SSH User Login with SSSD for Windows AD Users (Doc ID 2984074.1)

Symptoms

Windows Active Directory(AD) users cannot login to the server using SSH. The ssh session takes a lot of time to provide the username prompt. Then it takes some more time for presenting the password promt. Sometimes, the connection timeout will happen without even presenting the username prompt. 

The following command also takes a very long time to display the user details.
