Symptoms

A memory usage issue may be encountered after system being upgraded (or reinstalled) to an Oracle Linux 8 instance. The typical symptom includes, 

  1. Memory usage and SLAB usage keep increasing and kswapd processes are very active,
     
  2. System or application may crash due to memory exhaustion



Changes

System is upgraded to or installed with Oracle Linux 8.
