Symptoms

 After upgrade VMware Infrastructure from ESXi 7.xi 8.02, Oracle Linux 7.9 VMs cannot boot past the grub menu. VMs can be booted on ESXi 7.x VMware host without issue. There is no secure boot of the VMs.

Changes

 After VM upgrade to the following packages in OL 7.9, VMs cannot be booted through GRUB menu
