Purpose
This MOS Note provides guidance on how to add etcd pods on control nodes which are not part of ETCD memberlist back to ETCD memberlist.
In a working environment, all the control nodes in the Kubernetes cluster should be all shown as members part of the ETCD member list. This can be verified by running below command.
In some cases, we may notice that few of the ETCD pods on control nodes may not be part of the ETCD member list. This may be result of some issues or unsupported actions done on the Kubernetes cluster. In such cases, procedure being provided in this MOS note may help to add the etcd pods on control nodes as part of the ETCD member list.
