Asynchonous I/O not reported in /proc/slabinfo KIOCB slabdata (Doc ID 413389.1)

Symptoms

After enabling Async I/O (AIO) in Oracle 10g with ASM and ASMLib, none are reported in /proc/slabinfo.

Using <Note 237299.1> to check for async I/O activity with command "cat /proc/slabinfo | grep kiocb" gets:

kiocb 0 0

Thus it appears that Asynchronous i/o is not occurring.
