How to Make Network Interface Not Come Up on Reboot

Applies to:Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 5.10 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.32] to Oracle Linux 7.4 [Release OL5U10 to OL7U4]
When you create virtual interfaces on a bonded interface (i.e. bond1:0 bond1:1 etc), sometimes you do not want the virtual interfaces to come up on boot.
You need to set 'ONBOOT=no' and 'ONPARENT=no' in virtual ip ifcfg-bond1:* configuration file .
