Symptoms
When running df(1) and du(1) commands on an Oracle Linux (OL) system, command output displays significantly inconsistent space utilisation e.g.:
Above, df(1) reports the root filesystem (/) to have used 24Gb, whereas du(1) reports 7.8Gb to have been used.
