This article describes how to manually convert VMware guest images for use with Oracle VM Server.

The procedure is solely intended for Oracle VM versions 2.x. Although the procedure works for version 2.x (and likely beyond), the V2V feature provided from Oracle VM 2.1.2 automatically converts VMware images.

The terms image, guest and virtual machine are used synonymously throughout the article.
