Goal

This article describes how to restart the VNC server for a Paravirtualised guest Virtual Machine (VM) on an Oracle VM Server i.e. without having to restart the guest or Oracle VM Server.

The procedure is useful for cases where a VNC session to a guest may hang and connectivity to the guest using  vncviewer is no longer possible.
