After the installation of Oracle VM Manager 2.1.2, instead of using the included Oracle XE Database; Oracle VM Manager has been configured to use an external Oracle Database (Enterprise Edition). You are now in the situation where everything is working correctly after the manual configuration. However, the SID of the external Oracle Database has changed and you want to modify the SID on Oracle VM Manager.

This document provides the procedure on how to modify the SID on Oracle VM Manager.

This note only applies to Oracle VM Manager with Oracle SE or EE as the back-end database. The default installation of Oracle VM Manager uses Oracle XE as the back-end database and the SID should not be changed.
