Open File Fails with Error "Permission denied" When McAfee is Running (Doc ID 789895.1)

Symptoms

1. You are going to create a data file via sqlplus but fails with error "Permission denied":

$ sqlplus / as sysdba
create tablespace test datafile '<DIR>/test1.dbf' size 10M;

<.._snip..>
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01119: error in creating database file '<DIR>/test1.dbf'
ORA-27041: unable to open  file
Linux-x86_64 Error: 13: Permission denied
<..snip..>

2. RMAN backup script also fails with the same error.
3. File creation, copy, move, and remove all work on the command line.
4. This error resides on all file systems, including OCFS2, ext3, etc.

McAfee virus protection software is enabled on the server, and the kernel is tainted by the modules below:
