(Doc ID 835839.1)
Last updated on MAY 05, 2020
Applies to:
Linux OS - Version 1.4.1-1 to 1.4.1-1 [Release OCFS2]Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86
Linux x86-64
Linux x86-64
Symptoms
The "atime" is a new implementation in ocfs2 1.4.1 and onwards which is on by default, any direct IO writes can get locked when a node is dead. When a node dies, the reads to the database from surviving nodes are frozen
for a longer period than with OCFS2 1.2.
To avoid this it is recommended with all DB volumes you should mount with the "noatime" mount option.
