Symptoms

You get the following errors when you starts the OCFS2 cluster service:

# /etc/init.d/o2cb online ocfs2
Starting O2CB cluster ocfs2: Failed
o2cb_ctl: Unable to load cluster configuration file "/etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf"
Stopping O2CB cluster ocfs2: Failed
o2cb_ctl: Unable to load cluster configuration file "/etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf"

Changes

Manually created the /etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf, e.g.:


# cat /etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf
cluster:
node_count = 2
name = ocfs2

node:
ip_port = 7777
ip_address = xx.xx.xx.xx
number = 0
name = host1
cluster = ocfs2

node:
ip_port = 7777
ip_address = xx.xx.xx.xx
number = 1
name = host2
cluster = ocfs2
