Reboot Hangs At "Restarting system." On EL4 With Kernel 2.6.9-89.0.16.0.1.ELlargesmp (Doc ID 986475.1)

Symptoms

When you attempt to shutdown system, system hangs with the following messages.

Unmouting file systems:
umount2: Device or resource busy
umount: /osmf/mgmt: device is busy
umount2: Device or resource busy
umount: /osmf/mgmt: device is busy
Please standby while rebooting the system...
md: Stopping all md devices.
md: md0 switched to read-only mode.
cciss: stopping all cciss devices.
cciss: removing controller 0
Restarting system.

This problem only occurs on bare-metal HP ProLiant BL460 64 bit machine.
Bare-metal 32 bit and virtualized both 32 & 64 bit do not have this problem.

Changes

You recently upgraded the kernel from 2.6.9-89.0.11.0.1 to 2.6.9-89.0.16.0.1.
