Why is the Catalog Number value formatted such that the system reserves the four left digits exclusively for numeric characters, and the right six digits for both alpha and numeric characters (nnnnxxxxxx)? A field edit enforces this programming, which prevents the saving of catalog numbers that begin with zeros - for example, '00064' is saved as '64'.
