When using a custom Application Engine to output data in fixed length format via File Layout, the data file was created in UTF-8 encoding, one of the strings contained a Chinese character, and in the resulting data file the string tail after the Chinese character did not start at the pre-set starting position defined in the File Layout.
What is the cause of this behavior, and how to overcome this difficulty?
