Symptoms

PSWATCHSRV fails to kill hanging PSAPPSRV processes. PSAPPSRV_MMDD.log shows the following messages:

This may eventually lead to all PSAPPSRV processes being in a hung status and application server can no longer provide services. In order to recover from the problem, you may have to forcefully shut down the application server, then restart it.
