Purpose
Screening is the process used by recruiters to evaluate a list of potential candidates and narrow the list to a few qualified applicants that can be interviewed or hired. Talent Acquisition Manager 9.1 introduces several new screening capabilities:
- Prescreening of applicants:
- Filters out unqualified applicants before they reach the point of completing the online application form.
- Is based entirely on questionnaires, because no other application data has been collected at this point.
- Questionnaires can contain one or more multiple-choice questions (including yes/no questions, but not open-ended questions).
- Online screening:
- Filters out unqualified applicants after they complete the online application process.
- Evaluates applicants based on their application data, including preferences, qualifications, and questionnaire responses.
- Can be used in conjunction with prescreening or on its own.
- Open-ended screening questions:
- Open-ended questions allow applicants to provide a text response rather than selecting from predefined response items.
- Applicants can be limited to a specific number of words per question.
- System calculates and displays the word count on demand.
- Open-ended screening questions require manual scoring by one or more assigned evaluators (through Employee Self Service).
- Multiple correct answers for screening questions
- Questions can now have multiple correct answers, with separate point values for each possible answer.
- The applicant's score for the question is the sum of the points for all selected answers.
- Negative point values can be assigned to incorrect answers.
- Question ordering
- Allows the option to present questions, answers, or both in random order.
- Allows the option to present questions, answers, or both in random order.
- Requests for questionnaire completion
- When an applicant is linked to a job opening that requires the completion of an online questionnaire, the system sends an email requesting the applicant complete the questionnaire
- Improved access to screening question responses
- Completed questionnaires are now accessible directly from the application details page.
