Tools 8.50 Upgrade on Oracle Platform Causes the Costing Process CM_ACCTG or CM_CSTACCTG to Create Duplicate Accounting Lines for Each Transaction (Doc ID 1093913.1)

Symptoms

  1. When running the below Costing process CM_ACCTG or CM_CSTACCTG you observe that multiple Accounting Lines are created for the same transactions with each successive run.  The transactions remain in an unposted state, despite the fact that Accounting Lines are getting created. The Accounting Lines cannot be posted.

    The CM_DEPLETE_COST.POSTED_FLAG field does not update to 'Y'.
    DT_TIMESTAMP fields are observed to now end in millisecond (0000) values when they use to be 000.

  2. Accounting Lines errors are incorrectly reported with no Distribution Rule found when the Distribution Rule does exist.

* Releases 8.4 to 8.8 SP1: 'Create Accounting Lines' process (CM_ACCTG) (navigation: Cost Accounting, Inventory and Mfg Accounting, Create Accounting Entries, Accounting Line Creation)
* Releases >= 8.8 SP1: 'Cost Accounting Creation' process (CM_CSTACCTG) with the 'Create Accounting Lines' check box selected (navigation: Cost Accounting, Inventory and Mfg Accounting, Create Accounting Entries, Cost Accounting Creation)

Changes

The problems occur on Oracle database platforms only when upgrading to PeopleTools 8.50 with no other concurrent application upgrade.
