Symptoms

When running nVision on Windows Server 2008 64-bit or above, any of the following errors are sometimes received:

 

The solution detailed in this document will resolve the following:

  1. Abandoned Excel.exe left in Task Manager when the nVision report is canceled.
  2. Inability to run nVision through both the client, (psnvs.exe), and web on the same Windows server.

Changes

This issue occurs after an install or upgrade of PeopleTools, the Windows OS or both.
