E-AE/PRCS: After A Scheduled Process Scheduler Restart , Application Engine Process goes to No Success Or Error (Doc ID 1207713.1)

Custom Application Engine (AE) program runs progressively longer as the month goes on, eventually running over 24 hours, which will run into the weekly bounce, stop/start of Process Scheduler. When this occurs, the AE goes to Error Status and has to be manually restarted. Would like to have a workaround to this situation.


Process Request shows status of 'INITIATED' or 'PROCESSING' but no longer running.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Start Process Scheduler with PSAESRV Tuxedo Services.
2. Launch Application Engine program.
3. While AE is in Processing Run Status, stop the Process Scheduler.
4. Restart Scheduler and observe status of previously running AE.
