Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS Human Resources - Version 9 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the Upgrade to HR 9.0 to HR 9.1 the following step fails with the error:

Assignment of "1000" to UPG_INT_NEW_AET.HRS_SEQ_NUM failed. (2,119) UPG_ER90.HCERM410.GBL.default.1900-01-01.Step130.OnExecute PCPC:81 Statement:2

This is because the HRS_SEQ_NUM field is a Number with only 3 integer positions.

So in order to continue with data conversion modified the HRS_SEQ_NUM field from a Number with 3 integer positions to a Number with 4 integer positions and restarted data conversion.

Then the conversion fails on the following:

Assignment of "10000" to UPG_INT_NEW_AET.HRS_SEQ_NUM failed. (2,119) UPG_ER90.HCERM410.GBL.default.1900-01-01.Step140.OnExecute PCPC:81 Statement:2

This is because HRS_SEQ_NUM field is a Number now with only 4 integer positions.

So in order to continue with data conversion modified the HRS_SEQ_NUM field from a Number with 4 integer positions to a Number with 5 integer positions and restarted dataconversion.

Finally the conversion was successful with the HRS_SEQ_NUM field then changed from the PeopleSoft delivered value of this field from 3 integers to 5 integers.
