The 'Inventory Adjustments' Process (INPVIADJ) Is Updating the REASON_CD Field in the PS_PHYSICAL_INV Table while an Online Inventory Adjustment Transaction Does Not (Doc ID 1231076.1)

When running the 'Inventory Transfers' process (INPTTRFR / IN_TRANSFER) (navigation: SCM Integrations, Process Transactions, Inventory, Storage Location Transfer) in order to transfer an Item quantity from one Location to another, the transaction is marked in error:

Item already exists in the destination location with a different status.

This happens when there has been an Inventory Adjustment made against the destination Location using the 'Inventory Adjustments' process (INPVIADJ) (navigation: SCM Integrations, Process Transactions, Inventory, Quantity Adjustment). When using this process the Reason Code field (REASON_CD) field in the PS_PHYSICAL_INV gets populated while it does not when the Inventory Adjustment is made on line. There is inconsistency here.
