E-PORTAL: PT8.51 Look Up Button / Magnifying Glass Returns Blank Modal Window and Application Hangs

When accessing any Look Up Button (Magnifying Glass) within the application, the Look Up modal window displays, but it is blank. The activity animation image shows up and never stops as the page hangs. The issue is system-wide. It was initially reported on 8.51.01 PeopleTools but has been confirmed as an issue on 8.51.02 and could affect other 8.51 releases in a similar manner.
In the browser the "Unterminated string constant" error can be seen in IE8, but the problem behavior occurs in all browsers tested.
Access is denied.
Page hangs when opening the Look Up Modal Window. The "Look Up" page is blank (white).
The page loads normally and the Look Up values are visible.
Application & Version: CRM 9.10.00.000 (Also tested in FSCM 9.1)
PeopleTools Version: 8.51.01
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Navigate to any page with a lookup button. For example: PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles.
Clicking the back button will return to the previous window, but use of the Back button is not supported in 8.50/8.51 PeopleTools and this may cause state issues on the browser. However, if a value is known, it can be typed in directly instead of using the lookup button.
