There are three main type of objects registered in Portal, that can be affected by expiration date set as 31 Dec 2010 – these are generic called CRefs as above:
1. Normal CRref registration (navigation menu entry pointing to a specific component) - A.PORTAL_REFTYPE = 'C' ... in the PSPRSMDEFN table SQL select
2. Link registration (navigation menu object pointing to a normal CRef) - aka A.PORTAL_REFTYPE = 'C' AND A.PORTAL_CREF_USGT = 'LINK' ... in the PSPRSMDEFN table SQL select
3. Folder registration (a folder object in the navigation menu that can have one or more Normal CRefs registered beneath) - A.PORTAL_REFTYPE = 'F' ... in the PSPRSMDEFN table SQL select
All these registry object types are edit-able in Structure and Content but in three separate tools components – The Portal Administrator navigating in Structure and Content (in the standard) way would open in edit mode the appropriate component for each of the three types (1 to 3) above
The following query tool(s) would help the Portal Administrator user to navigate faster to “type b” CRefs and perform any further required changes trough PIA (like navigating in Portal > Structure and Content)
Type c would be possible to be edited as well, if query template criteria are modified as explained below.
