Symptoms
The Relationship Stepchild is set to Covered Person Type of Other Qualified Dependent. Coverage Code 5 requires and is the only one that allows coverage for this Covered Person Type. For a Marriage (MAR) Event, Coverage Code Control is set to allow enrollment of the Same or More Other Qualified Dependents and Spouse. When an employee with Employee Only coverage has an MAR Event, the only Options that prepare are Employee Only (Coverage Code 1) and Employee + Spouse (2). The Option for Coverage Code 5 does not prepare.
STEPS
---------------------------
1. Create a manual MAR Event for an employee (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > BAS Activity).
2. Process the Event using On-Demand Event Maintenance (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > On-Demand Event Maintenance).
3. View the Options available for the employee for Medical (Election Entry button, magnifying glass by Option for Medical).
