Last updated on MAY 19, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Asset Management - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In release 9.1, when the Transaction Loader process AMIF1000 ran for conversion data (intfc_type FAD, system_source CNV), the process went to success, but the load_status is ERR with the following message:

Conversion Rate not defined for the transaction that involves different currencies (8005,173)

Because of this, assets cannot be added and depreciated.

However, assets can be added directly in AM.

Steps to replicate:
=========
1. Populate the intfc_fin and intfc_phy_a tables for assets using intfc_type FAD, and system_source CNV. Also make sure all required fields are populated including currency_cd, txn_currency_cd, and rt_type.
2. Run transaction loader process AMIF1000.

Expected Results:
=========
Expected amif1000 to populate the AM tables and give a load_status of DON

Actual Results:
==========
Amif1000 did not populate the AM tables, gave a load_status of ERR and this message:
Conversion Rate not defined for the transaction that involves different currencies (8005,173)
