EGL8.8SP1+: Import Ledger From Flat File Fails With Invalid Record Type Value When Trying to Load a CSV File (Doc ID 1279968.1)

Symptoms


On : 8.8 SP1 and higher version, Flat File Ledger Import

When attempting to run Import Ledger from Flat File using CSV format the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Invalid Record Type value XXX.

WHAT IS WORKING?
-----------------------
When using Fixed format the process is running to success.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Application Designer open File Layout GL_LED_IMPORT. Go to the File Layout Definition Properties and change File Layout Format from Fixed to CSV. Checkbox Excel Format, Qualifier Optional and Convert Tabs to Spaces are all enabled.
  2. Navigate to General Ledger > Ledgers > Import Ledger from Flat File. Attach CSV file to run control page and run GL_LED_IMP process.
