Why Are Rows Not Picked Up by the 'Item Loader' Process (IN_ITMLOAD) after Correcting Them and Setting Them to 'Reprocess'?

After correcting rows marked in error, setting them to 'Reprocess', and re-running the Item Loader (IN_ITMLOAD) process (navigation: SCM Integrations, Process Transactions, Items, Item Loader), no rows are picked up. Why is that?
