Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Receivables - Version 8.9 to 8.9 [Release 8.9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When creating pending items with VAT and leaving Control Currency blank, VAT amount currency is not populated correctly.
It seems VAT amount currency is defaulted from customer currency instead of from item lines.
VAT amount currency should be same as the item currency.

This behavior was replicated in the latest build of 8.9, but was not replicated in 9.1.

Release: FSCM8.9 with the latest build

Replication Steps:
1. Navigate to Customers > Customer Information > General Information. On 'General Info' tab currency is set to USD.
2. Go to Accounts Receivables > Pending Items > Online Items > Group Entry. Make sure 'Control Currency' is blank on tab 'Group Control'.
3. On tab 'Pending Item 1' define item currency INR. Item amount is 112 INR and total VAT amount is 12 INR.
4. Go to 'VAT Lines' page and review the VAT Calculations section:

Current behavior:
VAT Calculations is showing:
Transaction Amount: 100 USD
Basis Amount: 100 USD
Tax Rate: 12.0000
Calculated Amount: 12 USD
Recorded Amount: 12 USD

Tax Rate: 12.0000

Recorded Amount: 12 INR

VAT currency code is USD. The VAT currency code should be INR.
