E-SEC: LASTUPDDTTM and LASTUPDOPRID on PSOPRDEFN Get Updated If Incorrect Password Is Entered
(Doc ID 1335426.1)
Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.50 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When Password Controls are enabled the LASTUPDDTTM and LASTUPDOPRID fields on the PSORPDEFN table will get udpated whenever an incorrect password is entered by a user on the logon screen. This creates an Audit nightmare since there is no way to track who is the last user to actually update the User Profile. It also causes a security issue as a user can edit a user profile and then hide themselves by entering incorrect password on a particular userid.
