Benefits Administration Error: ORA-01005: Null Password Given; Logon Denied (Doc ID 1338504.1)

Symptoms

When running Benefits Administration, the following error occurs:

Error
----------------
Will use connect ID to retrieve OPR PSWD
Connect ID password required.

Application Program Failed
Action Type : SQL CONNEC
In Pgm Section : SQLRT:GG100 SQL-CONNECT
With Return Code: 01005
Error Message : ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied


Another scenario is when the error only occurs for a specific userid.

Error
----------------
Will use connect ID to retrieve OPR PSWD
Connect ID password required.

Application Program Failed
Action Type : SQL CONNECT

In Pgm Section : SQLRT: GG100-SQL-CONNECT

Error Message : Invalid process instance 000REVALUE

CONNECT ERROR. CHECK USER ID AND PASSWORD.
