CRM 8.9 To 9.0 Upgrade: Issue with AE_SYNCIDGEN

During the step to run AE_SYNCIDGEN, DB server rebooted, so the step failed. When the DB server came back, customer reran this step but it only ran for a second and log file said successfully. Did it really finish running or not? Is there a way to check this process?
