E-COB: Intermittent Remotecall Failures with "SQLRT: INVALID DBTYPE" (Doc ID 1355971.1)

Symptoms


When there is heavy volume of CI making remotecalls, the site is seeing intermittent issues with remotecall. Some remotecall do not get initiated and instead stop with error message "SQLRT: INVALID DBTYPE:".
This was reported on PeopleTools 8.50, but possibly affects earlier releases, too.
The issue is intermittent and so cannot be reproduced at will.

Oracle database is Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.2.0-64-bit on solaris 10. client is 11.2.0.1.0 on solaris 10
