When using in PeopleTools releases 8.4x / 8.5x Integration Gateway's FTPTARGET Connector to exchange data with FTPS servers (with property FTPS = Y), it works fine when only server authentication is required. However, when the FTPS server also requires client certificate authentication, the connection fails with a generic exception:

com.peoplesoft.pt.integrationgateway.common.ExternalSystemContactException: Incorrect Hostname/username/password"

PeopleTools release 8.44 and higher, the FTPTARGET connector has an optional property CLIENTCERT that seems to be specifically aimed to address this situation. However, the only thing that the delivered documentation says of it is the following brief statement:

"CLIENTCERT | (Optional.) To use client authentication when establishing a connection with the target or receiving system, enable the CLIENTCERT property."

See for example in: PeopleTools 8.52 PeopleBook: PeopleSoft Integration Broker Administration > Using Listening Connectors and Target Connectors >> Working With the FTP Target Connector >>> Setting Node-Level FTPS Connector Properties (e.g. at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28394_01/pt852pbh1/eng/psbooks/tiba/book.htm?File=tiba/htm/tiba06.htm#42442E29_1355AB76E54__6B44 )

PeopleBooks just states "enable the CLIENTCERT property" and includes nothing about what would be the expected value or range of values.

So what should the CLIENTCERT value be? The client certificate alias name in pskey keystore?  The client certificate Distinguished Name (DN)? Or anything else?
