Enhancement to Allow Dynamic Workflow to Route In a Different Manner when a Change is Made on a Requisition in Pending Status

(Doc ID 1421186.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 04, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Multiple stages of approvals are setup with Approval Framework (AWE) and the last stage is a management workflow. The approval request can go past the manager it should have stopped at. Previewing the requisitions shows it stopping correctly on the Preview Approval Process in the Approval Process Definition page. No changes were made to management or Amounts (req or approval).

For detail scenario see both replication documents attached. The first shows Dynamic Workflow setup including Approval Authorization for Requisition, User List Definition based on delivered SQL, and Roles associated with approvers. The second document attached shows the effect on the approval process when a supervisor is inserted into the workflow with the net effect that an approver can approve a transaction beyond their assigned approval level, the second part of this doc shows the effect if an approver is substituted as a supervisor forcing the transaction with a lower dollar amount to advance to the last approver in the workflow.
