Enhancement Request to Prevent the Total Returned Quantity for RMA Lines Referencing the Same Shipment to Be Greater Than the Shipped Quantity (Doc ID 1428235.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Order Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Inventory - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When returning Materials and creating a RMA, you can reference the same shipment on multiple lines. You cannot enter a returned quantity for a line which is greater than the shipped quantity but the sum of the returned quantities for all the lines referencing the same shipment can be greater than the shipped quantity.

The system is validating the returned quantity against the shipped quantity at the line level only.

The issue occurs when creating RMA's in Inventory (navigation: Inventory, Manage Returned Material, RAM) and in Order Management (navigation: Customer Return, Create/Update RMA).
