EGL9.1: Copied Journal Is Not Imported By Spreadsheet Journal Import due to Import Status (Doc ID 1437718.1)

Symptoms


Using Copy functionality of  Spreadsheet Journal Import, when trying to import the worksheet, this does not work because the import status is also copied to the new worksheet. As this is ''Do not import'' due to the fact that the original journal has already been imported, the import status need to be set back to ''Import''.

The issue can be replicated at will with the following steps:

  1. Setup of JRNL1.xls: Define Option and Defaults > After Successful Import: Change Import Status to Do Not Import
  2. Create new Spreadsheet Journal and import it
  3. Copy Journal Sheet imported above to New Journal Sheet.
  4. Run Import Journal Now

The process status shows success (Import OK) but no journal is imported (Imported 0 journals). If ''Change Import Status'' is manually set to ''Import'', the journal will be successfully imported.
