PRE_INTFC_ID Assigned by RECV_02 is Not In Sync with the Installation Options - Asset Management page (Doc ID 1439537.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2015

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Last Pre-Inteface ID Used value stored on the Installation Options – Asset Management page is not in sync with the PRE_INTFC_ID used by the Receiving (RECV_02) process.

Error: None

Steps to recreate the issue:

  1. Verify the Last Pre Interface ID Used on the Installation Options - Asset Management page.
  2. Create 2 Non PO receipts for Asset Items.
  3. Receiver 1 has 2 lines
  4. Receiver 2 has 1 line.
  5. Run the RecvPush process for the BU. Job = RECV_02.
  6. Query the INTFC_PRE_AM table and note the PRE_INTFC_ID assigned to each receipt.
  7. Compare these values to the now updated Last Pre Interface ID Used on the Installation Options - Asset Management page.

Result.  The value has incremented by the number of PRE_INTFC_IDs assigned during the receiving process, but the values are not in sync.

When the RECVPUSH - RECV_02 process runs, it should be taking the next PRE_INTFC_ID value based on the Last PRE_INTFC_ID value that is stored at the Installation Options - Asset Management page.

This is not occurring. During testing, the value shows on the Installation Options - Asset Management page as 4. When 2 receipts are processed through the RECV_02 program, the PRE_INTFC_IDs assigned are 7 and 8. Another look at the Installation Options - Asset Management page shows that the Last Pre Interface ID Used has incremented by 2 (for the 2 receipts processed) but is only at a value of 6.

System Wide Options

Last Interface ID
Primarily informational, assigned incrementally by the system. After you set this number, the next interface will be assigned a value one greater than the number you set.

Last Pre-Interface ID
Primarily informational, assigned incrementally by the system. After you set this number, the next pre-interface will be assigned a value one greater than the number you set.

Note. Pre-Interface ID is one of the keys to the Pre-Interface table used by the PeopleSoft Payables/Purchasing to Asset Management interface. When inserting data into the Pre-Interface table, Payables and Purchasing use the Last Pre-Interface ID field and then increment the ID counter by one. You can enter a different Last Pre-Interface ID before using the interface; otherwise, the system uses a value of 1. If the Pre-Interface table contains rows of data, the last pre-interface ID must be greater than or equal to the largest pre-interface ID number found in the table.
