E-ORA 'ORA-25408: can not safely replay call' when using Transparent Application Failover with PeopleSoft (Doc ID 1442953.1)

Symptoms

When a RAC node fails during a transaction in a PeopleSoft application, the application drops the connection, (failover) reconnects but does not recover in a usable way.  The end user has to close the browser and relogin to continue, restarting the transaction.

The application server log shows:  ORA-25408: can not safely replay call.
