FEE_CLASS_PRICE Does Not Retain Class Price In Certain Situations (Doc ID 1446392.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9 to 9 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A tuition structure using a term fee charge per unit range, and then a flat fee amount and an adjustment calendar which adjusts by Class Length % does not retain charges when a student drops a class and should not receive a refund for the class.

FEE_CLASS_PRICE is updated with a zero class price when the class is
dropped in the 0% refund period and the student's units are in the 'flat
fee' range of the term fee. When the student's schedule drops to the charge
per unit range, the 0% refund is not reflected for the drop; therefore the
student appears to receive a 100% refund for the class. This issue occurs
when adjusting by Class Length %.
