Goal

The goal of this document is to help explain the impact of the field "Translate Ledger Exchange Rate" option for Currency options that is new to 9.1 (and applies to 9.2).

The issue came up when running the multi-currency processing FSPCCURR for a ledger group that has a translation ledger and where the foreign currency on the primary ledger was the same as the base currency on the secondary ledger.

If you have a zero amount in the foreign amount with the same currency as the base currency on the secondary translation ledger, the base amount on the secondary translation ledger will also be zero if you inherit the exchange rate from the primary ledger.
