E-QR: Receive Error: "Think-time PeopleCode event (Prompt), but a SQL update has occurred in the commit interval" When Submitting Schedule Queries With 'In Tree' Criteria (Doc ID 1459996.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 15, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.51 to 8.52 [Release 8.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

 When attempting to schedule some Queries that contain "IN-TREE" criteria, the following error message is thrown:

------------------------------------------
Message:
========
"Think-time PeopleCode event (Prompt), but a SQL update has occurred in the commit interval. (2,148) QUERY_RUN_WRK.FUNCLIB.FieldFormula
Name:GetQueryPromptsByRec PCPC:17519 Statement:304
Called from:QUERY_RUN_WRK.FUNCLIB.FieldFormula
Nave:GetQueryPrompts Statement:327

Think-time PeopleCode events such as messages requiring a user response cannot be executed if a SQL update, insert, or delete has occurred in the commit interval. Examples of PeopleCode that invoke update type of SQL includes Process Scheduler, TriggerBusinessEvent, or MarkWorked. A unit of work cannot contain both think-time events and update type SQL."
------------------------------------------

The issue is known to only affect Queries where the TREE performance options are configured to use "dynamic" selectors.
