Symptoms

If a PeopleSoft User ID was created without a Symbolic ID the User is unable to run any Process Request through Process Scheduler. No details are provided in PeopleBooks regarding the need for a Symbolic ID to run Process Requests.

Replication Steps

--------

1. PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles

2. Remove Symbolic ID

3. PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > System Process Requests

4. Attempt to run any Process

5. Run Status goes to Error
