Symptoms
Withholding transaction amount and Payment amount are out of sync when foreign currency is involved. The following are the tables affected: VCHR_ACCTG_LINE, PYMNT_VCHR_XREF and PAYMENT_TBL.
STEPS
Installation Option -> Posting Method: Summary Control
Withholding entities -> Rounding Option = Round Up, Apply Withholding = Withhold at Voucher Posting, Currency= INR and Cumulative = ON
AP Business Unit Base Currency - INR
Withholding Payment Currency = INR
Withholding Rule = 10%
Market Rate: USD - INR = 49.45
1. Create a Voucher for 4059.04 USD
2. Post the Voucher
3. Schedule splits into 3653.14 USD and 406 USD
4. Try to record Withholding Schedule Payment
Error: The gross amount scheduled to pay exceed the gross voucher amount less allowances by 0.096 (7015, 21)
5. Run the Pay Cycle to pay the Withholding Schedule
6. Run Payment Posting
7. Review the Payment and Accounting entries
RESULT
The Withholding payment amount is out of sync across the tables.
