Purpose

My Oracle Support Patches and Updates for PeopleSoft Products

Important: The following information and process is relevant to 9.1 and earlier releases. For patching and update information on 9.2 and future releases, please go to Note. 1641843.2

As part of Oracle's plan to standardize on a single patch delivery system, PeopleSoft patches and updates have migrated to My Oracle Support. You can now search for and download PeopleSoft patches and updates using the Patch Search section of the My Oracle Support HTML Patches & Updates tab. Currently the Flash based user-interface still directs you to the old PeopleSoft Updates and fixes and Update Gateway tools; however, this will decommission once the My Oracle Support Flash interface retires on August 10, 2012.

With this system change, My Oracle Support becomes the single location where you can search for and retrieve all maintenance (such as applications patches and bundles, maintenance packs, and PeopleTools patches) and knowledge for your PeopleSoft products without having to leave My Oracle Support. As an added benefit, My Oracle Support can handle larger sized maintenance files, so you will no longer need to use the Oracle FTP server or the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud to obtain such files.

Searching for PeopleSoft Patches and Updates
You should now use the My Oracle Support HTML "Patch Search" region of the "Patches & Updates" tab to search for and download PeopleSoft patches. For effective PeopleSoft maintenance searches, it is important to understand the following:

My Oracle Support Flash Interface Retires August 10, 2012

We recently upgraded the My Oracle Support HTML user interface with additional functionality that allows those users still remaining on the Flash-based interface to move to the HTML version. As such, we plan to retire the My Oracle Support Flash interface on August 10, 2012.

You now see a countdown banner on the My Oracle Support login page. Although we encourage you to make the transition as soon as possible, during the countdown period, you will still have the opportunity to access the old Flash-based site from the My Oracle Support login page. Please note that you will not need to re-register, and your username and password will remain the same. After August 10, when you log into My Oracle Support, you will automatically be connected to the HTML site and all users will have a single site for their online support needs.

As a reminder, Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) is not supported on the My Oracle Support HTML user interface. It is important that you check your browser capability as listed under the "Supported Browsers" section in Article ID 1385682.1 and plan to upgrade if needed.
