Goal

Several processes, such as the GPPDPRUN COBOL program in Global Payroll, have been observed to have very inconsistent run times. Often a small set of SQL statements run adequately for one run, and in subsequent runs, perform poorly. This document describes a method specific for the Oracle RDMBS to address this symptom.
