E-RD: Viewing Output Files Returns Error "content encoding error...page cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression" (Doc ID 1480326.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 06, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On: PeopleTools 8.4+ version, Report Distribution, UNIX, after a server reboot, the ReportRepositoryPath filesystem wasn't mounted.  The Process Scheduler was automatically started and reports were written to the mount point directory where the ReportRepositoryPath filesystem is configured to be mounted.

The DSTAGNT*.LOG shows expected entries and no errors.

Distribution Status = Posted

Subsequently, the ReportRepositoryPath filesystem *was* mounted on the mount point, which makes the files written directly under the mount point directory inaccessible.

When clicking on any of the links for the reports posted directly under the mount point directory, the browser returns an Error:

"content encoding error ...page cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression "
